Software we build
because we operate.

Heritage operates real businesses, day to day. When the software an operator needs does not exist at a price a small business can justify, we build it, use it ourselves first, and then decide whether anyone else should have it.

Operator’s Shoebox

In private pilot

Understand

Every dollar lands on the job that spent it. The moment it happens.

Photograph a receipt, and Operator’s Shoebox doesn’t just file it — it puts the cost on the right job and tells you, right then, what that job is worth now. Finish a job, and it remembers what the job actually cost, so the next bid isn’t a guess. One photo, one thumb.

Believe

It answers back. It doesn’t pretend to know what it doesn’t.

It answers back the moment you capture

Point the camera at a receipt and in seconds a banner tells you which job it landed on and what that did to the job’s margin. An illustrative example from the pilot build: “Landed on Smith Residence Reroof. Healthy margin so far.”

It won’t guess when it doesn’t know

Ask it to price your next bid, and once it has enough of your own finished jobs to go on, it will. Fewer than three on file, and it says so plainly instead of inventing a number. If crew hours aren’t logged for a job, every margin, debrief, and bid guidance says “labor not included,” in the same breath as the rest, never a figure that quietly assumes labor is free.

It never touches your money

Operator’s Shoebox tracks what a job costs and what it’s worth. It doesn’t hold your money, move it, or sit between you and a payment, not for a day.

Before Operator’s Shoebox goes to anyone else, it has to hold up against Heritage’s own operating businesses first. A tool nobody depends on is a demo.

Try

Here’s what happens the first time you use it.

You photograph a receipt the way you already do. One tap. A few seconds later a banner tells you which job it landed on and what that job’s margin looks like now. If it’s a vendor Operator’s Shoebox hasn’t seen on this job before, it asks you once, one tap, and remembers the next time that vendor shows up.

Request access

Ask for access to the pilot.

Operator’s Shoebox is in private pilot: it is still changing, so we bring on a few businesses at a time, with no date attached to when that changes. Tell us a little about your business below and request access. A person reviews every request, and access follows when it’s a fit.

What happens to your address. It is stored on our own server, is not readable from the web, and is not sold or shared. We use it to follow up about the pilot: a confirmation now, and only if your request moves forward, to reach you about access. Ask us to remove it and we will — reply to any message from us, including the confirmation, or write to info@heritageplatformgroup.com, and a person does it by hand. See our Privacy Policy.

Use

It works the way the job actually happens.

Every receipt lands on a job the moment you capture it. Materials from a supplier you use often learn to assign themselves after a few jobs: you’ll see the guess and confirm it in one tap, until it’s sure enough to just do it. Nothing waits in a pile: if something needs you, it says so by name and by age, at the top, and a stack of unassigned receipts never sits quietly in a corner.

A change order, signed on the customer’s phone

Get it priced and signed before anyone picks the tool back up, and once it’s signed it folds straight into the job’s numbers, no separate step.

A sub’s insurance certificate is on a clock

Operator’s Shoebox flags one that’s about to lapse while the job is still running, so you can chase the renewal before it becomes an audit finding.

A finished job that was never invoiced

It doesn’t slip through. If it goes quiet too long, Operator’s Shoebox names it before you forget it.

Get value

Your next bid gets priced from your last jobs.

When a job closes, Operator’s Shoebox compares what you actually spent to what you estimated, line by line, and keeps the result. Price your next similar job, and once there are three or more comparable jobs on file, it tells you what those jobs actually cost, what margin you kept, and gives you a price range that lands there. Fewer than three on file, and it tells you that plainly instead of inventing a number.

It’s not a bookkeeping replacement, and it won’t do your taxes. It’s the thing that tells you, job by job, whether the work is actually making you money — before it’s too late to do anything about it.
